Characteristics: The original Pecorino Romano, made from 100% sheep's milk. Ivory white in colour, with a grainy and crumbly texture.
Flavor: Known for its salty flavor, it is used for gratinating or in sauces.
Texture: The pasta has a granular texture that allows it to be shelled or grated.
Region: Sardinia, Italy.
Maturation: 6 months at origin.
Pairing: Red wines are excellent friends with hard cheeses. Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic pairing that never fails.
Cut: Shelled into irregular cuts to appreciate its texture or grated.
Storage: In Santi packaging, in the refrigerator. To enhance the flavour and aroma, remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes before consumption.
